Membership of The Indian Club-Bahrain is available to all Indian nationals residing in The Kingdom of Bahrain, subject to the approval by The Club’s Executive Committee of the relevant membership application and payment of the related membership dues.
Club Membership Categories
Club Membership can be taken up in two categories:
Ordinary Club Member
One –off Joining Fee | BD 100 |
Annual Subscription | BD 48 (BD 12 per quarter) |

Facilities and Services
- Access to and Use of all common areas of The Club (including the Terrace, the Deuce Lounge, the Family Lounge, the Library)
- Entry to all Club Events and Activities
- Members’ Discounts with Club Sponsors and Other Third Party Suppliers / Program Providers
- Monthly Indian Club e-letter
- Eligibility for candidature in any Club election
- Voting Participation in any Club elections and the Club’s Annual General Meeting
Optional Facilities and Services
- Sectional Membership (see below)
- Third Party Membership (see below)

Sectional Memberships
On becoming a Club Member, Sectional Membership can be taken up in six categories:
Badminton | One-off Sectional Fee of BD 50 + Quarterly Fee of BD 9 |
Tennis | One-off Sectional Fee of BD 10 + Quarterly Fee of BD 12 |
Snooker | One-off Sectional Fee of BD 5 + Quarterly Fee of BD 6 |
Table Tennis | One-off Sectional Fee of BD 2 + Quarterly Fee of BD 6 |
Gym | One-off Sectional Fee of BD 10 + Quarterly Fee of BD 15 |
Indoor Games | Quarterly Fee of BD 6 |
Sectional Membership allows a Member to attend all meetings of the relevant Section, to utilize all facilities and services relevant to the Section (subject to Third Party Membership Options noted below) and to participate in all of the Section’s events and activities.
Third Party Memberships
The Club has agreements / collaborations with a number of third parties to provide additional facilities and services for the benefit of both Members and Non-Members; in the majority of cases, Members are able to enjoy these Third Party facilities and services at a discounted rate.
The Third Party Memberships currently available at The Club are:
- Badminton Academy
- Karate
- Gavels Club
- Fitness Zone
- Western Dance Classes
Application for Club Membership
To apply for Membership, an Applicant needs to complete the ‘Application for Club Membership’ Form which can be downloaded here.
Along with the completed Application Form, the Applicant needs to provide the following:
- One existing Club Member as each of Proposer and Seconder for the Applicant
- Copy of Applicant’s CPR & RP
- 1 ‘recent’ passport sized photograph of Applicant
Application for Membership will be considered by The Club’s Executive Committee based upon proficiency in Sports / Games / Cultural activities/ Special Traits of the Applicant.
The Club’s Executive Committee reserves the right to grant or refuse membership to any individual without assigning any reason whatsoever.
Conditions of Membership
All Club Members are required to abide by the Constitution/ By-laws of The Indian Club, as established under The Club’s Charter and amended from time to time by Club Annual and / or Extraordinary General Meetings, and any additional Rules and Regulations introduced from time to time by The Club’s Executive Committee.
A Club Member can obtain a copy of the Constitution/ By-laws and any additional Rules and Regulations introduced from time to time by The Club’s Executive Committee by requesting the same from The Club Reception at any time.
Each of the Sectional and Third Party Memberships have additional specific Rules and Regulations that Members of the relevant Section or Third Party Facility or Service are required to adhere to. These specific Rules and Regulations will be made known to the Members on taking up such Sectional or Third Party Membership.
