Skills Coaching

The Indian Club is always keen to support the Members in the development of their personal and sporting skills and to encourage outside guests to visit The Club by providing extra facilities that supplement the broad range of services that The Club already offers.

The extra facilities currently available at The Club comprise:

The Toastmasters’ Club / Young Gravellers’ Club

The Indian Club Toastmasters’ Club has been established to provide members with an opportunity to improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills through a program of lectures, seminars, discussions and projects to help members learn and enhance the arts of speaking, listening and thinking.

Meetings are held once every two weeks on a Wednesday; there is no ‘joining fee’, but there is a quarterly fee.

There is a separate section within The Indian Club Toastmasters’ Club for the younger generation, The Young Gravellers’ Club; the aim and purpose of The Young Gravellers’ Club is very much the same as its older counterpart – the age limit for The Young Gravellers’ Club is 12 to 18 years.

Meetings are held every week on a Friday from 12 noon to 2.00pm; there is no ‘joining fee’, but there is a quarterly fee of BD30 per quarter for Non Members & BD3 per quarter for Membersto be booked and paid at The Club’s Reception in advance.

The Gavels Club is available to both Club Members and Non-Members.

The Gymnasium

The Gymnasium is equipped with a wide range of body fitness, strengthening and toning equipment for weight loss and tone-up, weight gain, strength training, weight training, cardio exercise and diet plan.

The gym is available to men and ladies at different times of the day:

  • Ladies 6:30am to 5:00pm
  • Men 5:00pm to 11.00pm

Each of the sessions is managed by a qualified fitness instructor, who is available to provide advice on general fitness matters and provide tailor-made programs for all gym users.

Gym membership, which is available to Club Members and Non-Members, can be taken out over various time periods with differential fees to be booked and paid for in advance at The Club Reception:

The badminton coaching classes take place from Saturday to Wednesday between 3:30pm-5:00pm and 5:00pm-6.30pm. Regular & Special coaching sessions are available for both Club Members and Non-Members with ages between 7 and 18 years.

Shuttle-cocks are provided – all participants are required to be appropriately dressed, and in particular wear proper sports shoes, and bring their own racquets.

The monthly fee structure is provided below which is to be paid in advance, irrespective of when a participant joins a course.

Destiny Kings Dance Crew

The Classes are given by a trained instructor and provide an engaging platform for age groups 5-18years to learn various forms of dance- Specialised in Lyrical, HipHop, Urban, Bollywood Bollyhop, Semiclassical, Salsa & Contemporary.

Classes take place on Monday and Saturday evenings between 6.30pm-8.30pm and can be booked on a monthly basis at a cost of BD15, to be booked and paid for in advance. Club Members and Non-Members are welcome.

Classes take place on Saturday and Monday evenings between 6.30pm-8.00pm and are available for age groups from 5-18 years and for Club Members and Non-Members; the monthly fees of BD15 for Members & BD20 for Non-Members, to be booked and paid in advance at The Club Reception irrespective of when a participant joins a course.

Participants are required to be dressed appropriately and to purchase their own karate uniform.
